Our Market Drayton site are now recruiting for a Trainee Transport Planner on a full time basis.

Salary: £26,000 per annum, rising up to £31,824 subject to successful performance reviews.

Working hours: Rotating - 5 on 3 off / 4 on 4 off, 07:30-18:00

The purpose of a Transport Planner is to effectively assemble loads / deliveries and resource the correct transport requirements.

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Efficiently utilise the Culina networks fleet
• Central planning of all Culina Chill sites, including ambient intervention
•  Assembling of 400 + multi drop/ consolidated loads in every 24 hour period
• Planning approximately 200 + collections to clients agreed KPI
• Resource correct transport requirements for each site, keeping sub-contract to a minimum
• Exceeding agreed KPIs
• Daily liaison with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues)
• Proactively look for conscientious improvements
• Deal with day to day operational issues
• Dealing with client requests
• Other duties as reasonably required

• Good geographical knowledge
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• CPC desirable but not essential
