We are now recruiting for a Customs Administrator on a permanent basis at our CML site in Telford.

Salary: £22,440 per annum

Shifts: 4 on 4 off days, rotating 08:00 – 20:00 / 09:00 – 21:00

Working as part of a team responsible for the import and export of goods to and from the EU on behalf of our customers.

• Ensuring area KPI’s are met on a daily basis
• Ensuring all day to day Customs procedures and processes are met
• Receiving and checking import deliveries and paperwork, completing and collating paperwork for export and dispatch
• Compliance with site Health and Safety procedures
• Maintaining excellent internal and external relationships
• Liaising with suppliers and carriers to obtain specific instructions and information on associated customs requirements prior to receiving and shipping
• Reviewing customer documentation to ensure that all data required is obtained
• Ensuring relevant checks have been completed prior to shipping
• Ensuring accurate data entry into WMS and Customs software applications
• Carry out visual checks on goods in warehouse
• Additional tasks as directed by Customs Manager or Supervisor

• An adaptable approach to work and the desire to constantly strive for higher standards
• Able to work using own initiative to strict deadlines with minimal and sometimes no supervision
• Willingness to develop own skills and experience
• Exceptional Attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to adapt positively to change
• Good IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience of working in a time critical environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Previous Logistics experience preferred
