Job Description

Reporting to the Transport Supervisor you will be responsible for provision of administrative support and creation of accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site. The successful applicant should be a confident user of Excel, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive and positive.

Role

  • Contribute to on time operations by tracking both client collections and retailer deliveries. Circa 150 clients
  • Accurate data collation to support on time collections and deliveries
  • Escalation both internally and direct to the client in the event of delays or likely impact to schedule
  • Supporting rebooking and redeliveries
  • Liaising with staff at other depots and external contacts
  • Investigate any internal or client escalation related to collections and deliveries
  • To release the JS ASN’s on vehicle dispatch together with updating the Tesco Transporting system with delivery progress and ETA reporting

Qualifications

  • Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. 
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
  • Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
