Our Rugby site is looking for a TMS Implementation Coordinator to support the integration of a new Transport Management System into the business

Job Description

Main responsibilities for a TMS Implementation Coordinator:

  • To operate as part of a small team - working various shifts to suit the needs of the business. Initially working Monday to Friday. Following implementation completion working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
  • Excellent knowledge of both warehouse and transport systems & processes, with a bigger emphasis on TMS workings and interaction with other systems
  • Collaboration with team colleagues, customer representatives and system developers
  • Providing technical support, delivering solutions in line with reasonable user expectations
  • To support the new system UAT process and final system approval.
  • To support, motivate and encourage the transport team in the TMS usage
  • To be able to plan, trunk and x dock orders in a complex transport network using a new system in order to provide an efficient plan.
  • Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of our fleet (including utilisation and costing)
  • Constantly communicate with our customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPI’s and targets are achieved and maintained
  • Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU drivers’ hours regulations)

Qualifications

  • Excellent previous experience of TMS system and especially with Mandata
  • Experienced in managing a fleet of over 100 vehicles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
  • Proactive and strong organisation skills
  • Customer focused on delivery performance
  • Strong work ethic and pride in your work
  • Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
  • Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
