Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, flexible and passionate Chef De Partie to be part of our fantastic Kitchen team on a full time basis. This position would suit someone who has a passion to work, is self-motivated and enjoys working with people.
As a Chef De Partie, you will be an integral part of the Kitchen Brigade delivering exceptional food across the outlets whilst ensuring consistency is a key focus and drive profit from the business focusing on quality. You will be passionate about food and show this in every dish that leaves the kitchen with a focus on guest experience at the forefront.
You are a hands-on person who can work well within a team with fantastic inter-personal skills. You are motivated and excited to come to work everyday with an ability to meet targets and work with your colleagues ensuring the success of the operation. As a Chef De Partie, candidates will be expected to undertake shift work & be flexible to work 40 hours/week, 5 days over 7 including split shifts.
As Chef De Partie you will:
·To ensure that all areas are presented to the agreed standard.
·To ensure that all food served is properly recorded as per Hotel policy.
·To be fully aware of the preparation and service of all dishes on the Hotel menus.
·To prepare and present dishes on Hotel menus according to customer requirements.
·To carry our Mise-en-Place in your allocated work area to meet forecasted demand.
·To ensure that staff meals are of an acceptable standard of quality, standard and size.
·To ensure standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen area is of the highest level and is in compliance with both Hotel policy and current legislation.
·To exercise effective stock rotation and maintain stock levels in accordance with hotel business and according to Hotel and Company policy. This includes recording temperature checks of food commodities.
·To keep food wastage to a minimum.
·To assist in menu planning, food ordering, and quality control where requested.
·To support the Head Chef in generating a customer-led product, thereby stimulating food sales throughout the Hotel.
Experience required:
·Proven ability as a Demi Chef de partie or chef de partie
·Proven ability at A La Carte cooking
·Excellent verbal communication skills
·Knowledge of IT
·Knowledge of food trends
·Proven ability at working in a successful team
·Strong organisational skills
