Job Description
Role Purpose
Client-facing role responsible for driving revenue for the Global Markets desk, with a strong focus on derivatives, including swaps and forwards, and money market products. The role leads product development and the rollout of new currencies and client segments, while proactively identifying cross-sell opportunities, particularly across money market deposits, FX products and cross-currency payments. It leverages deep market expertise and data-led client insights to deliver tailored solutions across global markets, especially emerging and frontier markets, within the Bank’s risk and regulatory framework.
Role Responsibilities
- Client Coverage and Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on the day to day basis in relation to FX and MM on the Global Markets desk, supporting relationship bankers and developing and executing account plans and client strategy.
- Build long-term relationships and maintain regular client engagement, identifying client needs and translating them into actionable opportunities while ensuring product suitability and alignment to client needs and risk appetite.
- Coordinate execution, ensuring accurate trade capture and lifecycle management, and maintain pipeline information via CRM/CLM tools, including opportunities, forecasts, volumes and revenue.
- Produce revenue forecasts, track performance and progress deals through internal approval processes, including commercial approval.
- FX Derivatives (G-10 & Emerging Markets): Develop and deliver accurate and competitive pricing for FX derivatives, including swaps and forwards, across emerging and frontier market currencies.
- Collaborate closely with Trading to ensure robust pricing frameworks and execution outcomes, balancing commercial objectives with risk appetite, appropriate spreads and profitability.
- Origination and Revenue Generation: Identify and originate new business opportunities across new clients, products and corridors, driving cross-sell opportunities across FX, payments, liquidity and trade.
- Deliver revenue targets through lead generation, including events, referrals and market analysis, as well as opportunity qualification, pipeline management and negotiation of commercial terms and pricing with clients.
- Risk, Compliance and Conduct: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory obligations, including MiFID and FCA requirements, internal policies and risk appetite, escalating any conduct, suitability or product concerns as appropriate.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Trading, Coverage, Transformation, Risk, Compliance and Operations, presenting opportunities internally to governance committees.

- University degree (BA/BSc) desired but not essential.
Role Specifics
- 5+ years of relevant experience with proven ability to work in a global capacity.
- FX & Derivatives product knowledge, awareness of technology and infrastructure, as well as an understanding of G10, Emerging and Frontier Market business challenges.
- Previous experience working in a global, matrixed or multi-jurisdictional environment would be desirable.
- Understanding payments and receivables products would be advantageous.
- Strong technical understanding of FX derivatives, money market products, pricing drivers and market execution considerations.
- Ability to assess client requirements and translate them into suitable product opportunities within agreed risk appetite.
- Strong commercial numeracy, pricing discipline and ability to evaluate profitability, spreads, volumes and revenue potential.
- Ability to analyse market conditions, client behaviour, pipeline data and revenue trends to inform sales activity.
- Strong execution discipline, including accurate trade handover, follow-through and attention to lifecycle management requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple client opportunities, deadlines and internal approvals in a fast-paced front-office environment.
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory and conduct considerations, including MiFID, FCA requirements, product suitability and internal policy requirements.
- Confidence using CRM, CLM, pipeline and reporting tools to record opportunities, forecast revenue and monitor performance.
- Ability to produce concise client, pipeline and revenue updates for internal stakeholders and governance forums.
- Proficiency in relevant systems, data tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Additional language capability, such as French, Spanish or another relevant market language, would be advantageous.
