Job Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning and analysis processes across the Firm. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical support to help the Firm achieve its financial objectives. This role requires a strong business acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. This is a highly visible position with significant executive leadership exposure and is at a period of change for the function, presenting an exciting opportunity to assist in shaping the future of financial planning at the Firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with business units and functional teams. Consolidate and analyze financial data, review assumptions, and provide guidance on financial targets. Monitor and track performance against budgets/forecasts, identify the drivers of variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Improve and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial and statistical data for distribution to all levels of firm management identifying trends and actionable insights. Own all aspects of the firm’s financial reporting and analysis, including monthly financial reporting presentations to Firm leadership and regular project analysis.
- Manage and maintain the financial planning systems, models, databases and user interfaces used by the FP&A team. Streamline and automate processes and collaborate with Finance Systems and IT teams to implement best practice system enhancements and upgrades.
- Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, encourage knowledge sharing, and drive continuous learning within the team while continuously driving process improvements. Recommend and implement strategic best practices supported by competitive intelligence research, obtained via surveys and market analysis, relevant to the legal industry.

- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness with the ability to manage stress under deadlines.
- Ability to implement techniques to improve productivity, cut costs, improve quality, reduce manpower, and maintain current practices.
- Ability to lead others effectively, enthusiastic and friendly environment to complete projects and to reach established goals and objectives in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with executive leadership and functional management
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office products, advanced Excel skills; strong finance systems skills, SQL proficiency preferred.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, able to accommodate project time sensitivity
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. A CPA is preferred.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
