Job Summary
Claims Recovery Analysts are assigned to the Antitrust Practice Group, and are expected to provide service and support to the Claims Recovery team on projects as assigned. Claims Recovery Analysts review and analyze financial, statistical, and economic data to help facilitate the claims process. Claims Recovery Analysts have a minimum billing requirement of 1600 hours per year.

Job Responsibilities
•    Reviews data, resolves discrepancies, and presents findings through the creation of tables, charts, and statistical models in Microsoft Excel and other applications.
•    Researches publicly available information (company websites, financial statements, other web-based research); compiles, summarizes and reports findings, from: Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Labor, and other regulatory documents or filings.
•    Organizes, manages, and updates client files.
•    Assists with the creation, preparation, and maintenance of claims information and status updates for various open matters.
•    Applies creative and persistent problem-solving using publicly available sources.
•    Prepares and maintains databases and spreadsheets.
•    Collaborates with team members to ensure relevant error-free work product.
•    Demonstrates initiative and creativity to improve research projects and protocols.
•    Drafts, edits, and proofreads letters, memos and other correspondence and reports.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree. 

Experience
A minimum of one to two years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistics is strongly preferred.  Previous experience in a legal and/or financial firm is preferred.  Interest in securities and trading is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel, including creating the following: pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas. 
•    Demonstrated ability to organize and process data and information as directed. 
•    Ability to solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
•    Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
•    Ability to select and apply clearly defined standard policies and/or procedures.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of personnel.
•    Ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
•    Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Demonstrated ability to provide basic client service requiring ordinary tact and courtesy.
•    Ability to type at a speed of 65 WPM.
•    Demonstrated proficiency of numerical data entry using 10 key touch.
•    Ability to work overtime as needed.
