Job Summary

The Temporary Attorney Recruiting Administrator will support the Attorney Recruiting team from the period of August through October (with the option to extend as needed) and is responsible for assisting the overall administration of the recruitment process from application to offer acceptance, for on-campus and lateral recruiting in the Washington, DC office.

This position can work remotely, but must have flexibility to come in to the DC office as needed during the months of August and September. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists with On-Campus Interviewing, including (but not limited to):
    • Entering and maintaining all candidate information into the tracking database
    • Maintaining and organizing school files, candidate files and interview statistics
    • Preparing binders and offer packets for interviews and offer meetings
    • Scheduling candidate interviews and offer follow-up meetings
  • Assists in the Lateral Hiring Process, including:
    • Entering and maintaining all candidate information into the tracking database
    • Organizing lateral candidate files
    • Reviewing candidate applications and sending status updates to candidates
    • Maintaining charts, reports, and email correspondences
    • Processing conflict and background checks for incoming attorneys
    • Scheduling onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • General Office Duties, including:
    • Maintaining paper and electronic records for the department
    • Processing check requests, invoices, reimbursements and expense reports
    • Ordering and organizing swag and giveaway materials for new hires
    • Maintaining the department calendar
    • Other duties as assigned by Attorney Recruiting Assistant Managers

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to produce quality written communications such as memos, spreadsheets, slides, and standard work documents; Must be a quick learner of other technology platforms.

Education

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree. Current local undergraduate students in their junior or senior year with part time availability will be considered.  

Experience

The position requires related work experience during which knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were attained. Experience with recruiting, or working in a law firm is preferred.
