Job Description

Crowell & Moring LLP, a global Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a highly qualified Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Government Contracts practice group, working specifically with the cost accounting advisory and litigation area of the practice, from its Washington, DC office.

The group is well-versed in virtually every aspect of the government contracts and grants process, including litigation, counseling, and transactions.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 5 years of direct experience handling government contract cost accounting matters. Preferred experience includes: counseling clients on compliance with FAR Part 31 and Cost Accounting Standards, including in connection with responses to DCAA / DCMA audit reports, notices of potential noncompliance, and cost impact analyses; pre-COFD dispute resolution regarding cost accounting matters; representation of contractors in appeals at the Boards and Court of Federal Claims involving cost accounting disputes; advice and assistance with requests for equitable adjustment/contractor claims, and termination settlement proposals. The ideal candidate will be able to handle direct client inquiries regarding compliance and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.

All candidates should have excellent academic and professional credentials as well as highly developed writing and analytical skills. Candidates must be a member of the DC Bar or immediately eligible to waive-in.
