Job Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for the technical and operational support of the firm’s server hardware and software. This position provides timely response to escalated customer support requests involving enterprise applications, desktop applications, and basic networking issues.

Job Responsibilities
•    Performs technical and operational support for the firm’s server hardware and software inventory.
•    Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
•    Manages Group Policy Objects (GPOs), User Accounts, and Distribution Lists, Administers both DNS and DHCP throughout the enterprise.
•    Performs user account setup, troubleshooting and administration within Exchange 2010/2013 and Skype for Business 2016.
•    Using SCCM 2012, actively plan, coordinate and execute software patching and updating to the firms Server environment.
•    Collaborates with other network staff professionals on day-to-day tasks and special projects.
•    Works with network operations staff to execute procedures in support of the firm’s network, including backup/restore, email maintenance and network administration.
•    Monitors and administers the firms server monitoring tools to ensure the overall health of the network.
•    Resolves end user problems with document access or security. 
•    Notifies Manager, Network Operations and/or Network Engineers of unresolved issues or problems with any network maintenance task.
 

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Networking or directly related field.  Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.

Experience
The position requires a minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience in a large (1000+ nodes, 300+ servers) network environment during which knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Strong knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager 2012 (SCCM)
•    Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory in a 2012 Domain.
•    Strong knowledge of administrating an Exchange 2010/2013 environment.
•    Strong knowledge of administrating AirWatch MDM.
•    Strong knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
•    Intermediate knowledge of personal computer skills or telecommunications skills, including hardware, operating systems and software knowledge.
•    Knowledge of  Skype for Business 2016.
•    Ability to create user accounts and distribution lists and to provide tier II customer support.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff, vendors, and the public.
•    Ability to apply technical knowledge or guidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
•    Ability to document “Procedures and Instructions” in a technical format.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
•    Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
•    Ability to safely lift, move and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
