Job Summary:

The Manager, Enterprise Applications has general responsibility for the oversight of the implementation, support and maintenance of all firm enterprise applications and desktop image design.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Leads a team of application engineers, including talent recruitment, mentorship and performance management.
•    Leads enterprise applications projects by developing plans, schedules and budgets, assigning project resources, keeping track of progress and communicating project status to stakeholders.
•    Develops long-term enterprise applications strategy.
•    Manages enterprise applications licensing, vendor relationship and conducting contract negotiation. Independently and in coordination with the Director, Infrastructure Services, performs analysis, selection, design and implementation of various enterprise application systems.
•    Mentors and collaborates with enterprise applications engineers and other IS department professionals on issues surrounding reliable performance of enterprise applications.
•    Monitors industry and stays on top of emerging technologies, makes appropriate recommendations regarding acquisition and implementation.
•    Interfaces with and provides direct support to primary stakeholders of enterprise applications or system, where required.
•    Implements documentation and change management protocols, using industry best practices and standards, to ensure system uptime, performance and effectiveness goals are met.
•    Coordinates with remote office IS staff to understand nuances of their environments and the impact it has on firm’s computing environment.
 

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or directly related field.  Equivalent work experience in a IT field/environment may be considered in lieu of some education.

Experience
•    The position requires a minimum of one (3) year team management experience.
•    The position requires a minimum of five (5) years Enterprise Applications or network administration experience in a large node (1000+_nodes and 300+ servers) environment.  
•    The position requires a minimum of one (3) year experience leading large complex projects
•    The position requires a minimum of three (3) years experience with iManage Worksite or another enterprise document management system.
•    The position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience with OS and software deployment in a networked environment using tools such as SCCM.
•     A minimum of three (3) years experience with desktop and application virtualization using Citrix or similar technology is desirable but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Demonstrated mastery of enterprise applications, application interoperability, and operating system concepts. 
•    Demonstrated proficiency in Windows desktop engineering, application packaging, application compatibility testing and software distribution.
•    Demonstrated proficiency in Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop and related technologies.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory Users and Groups and Group Policies.
•    Demonstrated experience troubleshooting following end-user applications: Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Adobe Acrobat, FileSite, and other applications
•    Demonstrated familiarity in working with VMWare and SCCM2007
•    Demonstrated strong experience with PC hardware.
•    Demonstrated conceptual understanding of networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, PXE, SSL, firewalls, VPN.
•    Demonstrated strong experience with project planning and project management concepts.
•    Demonstrated strong experience collaborating with non-IT stakeholders for implementing IT solutions.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
•    Ability to lead others in the development of new initiatives and/or completion of large-scale projects in a timely manner.
•    Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
•    Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
