Job Summary:

The CLE Coordinator supports the Professional Development team and is responsible for the administration of the firm’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program for all offices. The position will work closely with the Senior Manager, Learning & Professional Development to administer CLE credits for internal events as well as in conjunction with the Marketing & Business Development department and attorneys throughout the firm to administer CLE credits for external client events. This role also works with the Professional Development team on project based assignments and other firm projects. 

Job Responsibilities:

•    Work with Senior Manager, Learning & Professional Development to assess and fulfill needs for internal CLE events.
•    Work with C&M attorneys and Marketing Department to assess and fulfill needs for client CLE events.
•    Prepare necessary CLE application(s) for all internal and external programs.
•    Maintain program records for year-end reporting and to respond to requests from attorneys.
•    Seek and maintain accredited provider status in key states (CA and NY).
•    Monitor and communicate changes to CLE rules and regulations in states of primary importance to C&M attorneys (CA, NJ, NY, VA).
•    Maintain professional development online learning tools (e.g., ViDesktop, PLI, Vuture, SkillSoft, HRD Press, CPP). Manage the integration between the tools, troubleshoot, and respond to attorney questions on access and use of these tools.
•    Assist with other Professional Development administrative responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Legal education (i.e., paralegal certificate or law degree) preferred.

Experience
The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of directly related continuing legal education experience in a law firm environment during which knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to this position were demonstrated.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of CLE procedures and requirements in California, New York and Virginia.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

•    Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite to produce quality written communications. Knowledge of ViDesktop preferred.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, including editing work for spelling and grammar, with high attention to detail.
•    Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
•    Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts, regarding both routine and complex matters. Requires tact, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and patience.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a cooperative manner to accomplish work and participate in team efforts to complete projects and resolve problems.
•    Demonstrated ability to represent the Firm with professionalism and honesty, consistently acting in an ethical manner.
