Job Description

Job Summary:

The Conference Technology Specialist is responsible for setting up conference room audio visual and video teleconferencing equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Troubleshoots, diagnoses and identifies failing/failed audio visual equipment.
•    Maintains telephone and audio/visual equipment, spare part, and supply inventories.
•    Informs supervisor when stock is low and purchases additional stock when appropriate.
•    Coordinates the orderly upkeep of the equipment workroom.
•    Schedules maintenance vendors and logs maintenance activities.
•    Performs setup of personal computers for use within the firm’s network.
•    Performs setup of video teleconference equipment.
•    Performs setup of conference room technologies; projectors, screens, PCs.
•    Performs setup of telephones in a Skype for Business VOIP environment.
•    May assist with orientation and training for new assistants, technicians or specialists.
•    Continually improves client service through prompt, accurate, creative, technology solutions
•    Keeps end users and supervisors informed of status problem resolution and project progress.
•    Continually evaluates and improves existing and new procedures and services.
•    Makes recommendations to management on ways to increase quality and efficiency of services provided.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education
The position requires a High School Diploma and one (1) year of technical school/college.  Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.

Experience
The position requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with personal computers, laptops and audio visual equipment.  Minimum one (1) year experience in a Windows 7//10/Office 2010 networked environment also required.  Experience working with Skype for Business VOIP preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 •    Intermediate personal computer skills or telecommunication skills, including hardware, operating systems and software knowledge.
•    Must be detail oriented and logical.
•    Ability to apply technical knowledge or guidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff and vendors.
•     Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts, regarding matters of a routine nature.
•    Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
•    Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
•    Ability to safely lift, move and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
