Director of Analytics (Hertz,Dollar,Thrifty)

Crossmedia is an award winning, communications planning and media services agency headquartered in NY. We service brands of a range of sizes within multiple industry verticals – from banking to retail to insurance to gaming to CPG. We are known as THE alternative in a very homogenous media agency landscape and are regularly winning pitches against large holding group agencies. We are looking for a truly passionate, highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Director.

REDBOX: BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & ANAYTICS TEAM

The analytics group provides resources across the “equity” to the “response” side of the continuum of brand and media management. We employ multiple traditional and non-traditional methods and data sources to tackle challenges concerning consumer insights, brand equity, media attribution, data dash-boarding and advanced modeling.

As a member of the analytics team, you will work closely with the Group Director of Analytics in reviewing the team’s project briefs and Partnering with the New Business and Account Teams to help solve current and prospective client strategic problems. This is a significant responsibility as the agency looks to the Analytics group for much direction and strategic thinking. Confidence will come from a varied background in a combination of: brand management, management consulting, communications strategy and media analytics.

In this role, you will be working predominantly with one of our premier clients: Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty. Hertz is the second largest US car rental company by sales, locations, and fleet size and one of the most recognizable brands worldwide. Hertz earned the No. 1 overall ranking in the J.D. Power 2019 North America Rental Car Satisfaction Study.

THE ROLE 

  • Lead strategic discussions with our client, Hertz Dollar Thrifty, to help define media objectives, target customers & opportunity sizing, communication channels, optimal budget allocations and investment levels, media timing, and messaging.
  • Translate clients’ business questions into an actionable data and research plan.
  • Generate quantitative and qualitative consumer and market research including:
  • Demographic, psychographic, and behavioral customer profiling
  • Media channel coverage, penetration, receptivity
  • Brand health deep dives
  • Competitive analysis
  • Category trend
  • Transform raw data into engaging visuals and compelling stories. You will bring data and research to life for clients and choose the best visuals and mediums to deliver your message.
  • You will be the analytics and business intelligence expert in most client meetings and will be expected to guide the discussion as well as present findings and recommendations.
  • Help develop and innovate Crossmedia’s data and analytics offerings. Keep us on the cutting edge of data tools and technolog
  • Team Management and project management. Train/mentor analyst to be up-to-date with analytical knowledge, software and state of business. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BA (or advanced degree) in Statistics, Economics, Math, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Media, Analytics, Consulting
  • Familiarity with syndicated consumer research surveys (MRI, Simmons, YouGov, etc.)
  • Experienced with media measurement approaches including multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, A/B testing.
  • Highly effective project manager:  You have solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking agility
  • Previous exposure to media data and tools is beneficial (Kantar, NMR, iSpot, Comscore, AdClarity, MOAT/DoubleVerify, Adobe SiteCatalyst/Google Analytics)
  • Experience with data visualization and common cloud platforms (Tableau, Datorama, Looker, Domo, etc.)
