Job Description

As Sr. Product Marketing Manager for the retail sector, you will be the industry expert, responsible for defining the global retail go-to-market strategy; helping to drive market and customer insights into product management; and creating personas, positioning and messaging, customer-facing content, and sales tools. The ideal candidate excels at product marketing, has experience marketing into the retail sector, loves building from a blank page, and is adept at working cross-functionally.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assess market opportunities and work with marketing, sales, and product teams to define the global retail go-to-market strategy and lead cross-functional execution of the plan
  • Create personas, segment briefs, and vertical solution messaging and value propositions
  • Develop retail-focused sales tools such as sales presentations, conversation guides, solution sheets, and battlecards, as well as customer success content such as best practice white papers and on boarding guides
  • Serve as the go-to industry expert for worldwide retail, helping to drive analyst and media attention and defining product requirements for winning in the retail market
  • Deliver customer presentations or sales enablement training, as needed

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of product marketing experience, with 2+ years of sales or marketing experience in the retail sector. Experience in ad tech or enterprise marketing software is strongly preferred.
  • BA or BS, MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Can create and deliver effective presentations to executive-level audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-organizationally, especially with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, to align multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong ability to frame issues, drive appropriate analyses, and make clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Highly collaborative work style.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
