Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and proven project management skills to lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative solutions while managing cross-functional teams, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Engineering

  • Work with ODM partners to design new products, components and subsystems that meet the product requirements
  • Collaborate with ODMs to perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations to ensure performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, FEA analysis, risk assessments, and failure analysis to optimize designs.
  • Provide Technical Leadership and drive the team to make design decisions that meet Cost, Schedule and Performance requirements.
  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

2. Project Management

  • Lead projects through all phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Collaborate with ODMs on project’s deliverables and come up with Risk mitigation plan to avoid project scope, schedule and cost creep
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders, including reports and presentations.

3. Collaboration and Leadership

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and efficiency within the team.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successful team collaboration.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • knowledge of Chinese will be considered an advantage

  • Previous experience with ODMs
