Job Description

As the Senior Demand Planning Manager, you will develop and execute demand forecasts and planning processes to ensure accurate and efficient supply chain operations. You will spearhead the Americas Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve optimal service levels, forecast accuracy, and inventory performance across our Machines, Extensions, and C&A categories.

Collaborating closely with the Planning team and key stakeholders—including the VPs of Operations, EVP of Products, and CFO—you will design and implement a robust demand planning strategy that aligns with broader business goals. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy, streamline planning processes, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the Americas S&OP Process:
  • Facilitate the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance on demand forecasts and supply plans.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to balance demand requirements with supply chain capabilities and business priorities.
  1. Demand Forecasting and Planning:
  • Create and maintain demand forecasts at various levels (e.g., product, region, customer) using historical data, market trends, and sales input.
  • Proactively identify and resolve demand-supply imbalances in collaboration with supply planners, and supplier management teams.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with customer supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance to incorporate insights from market trends, promotions, and strategic initiatives into demand plans.
  • Support product launches and phase-outs by aligning forecasts with inventory and production strategies.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance demand planning tools, methods, and analytics.
  • Share best practices across the organization to foster innovation in planning processes.
  1. Analytics and Decision Support:
  • Analyze demand data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, improve forecast accuracy, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform data-driven decision-making.
  1. Supplier and Inventory Collaboration:
  • Work with supply planning and supplier management teams to align demand forecasts with production schedules.
  • Participate in supplier QBRs, sharing demand insights and collaborating to enhance supply chain efficiency.

 

Qualifications

  • Naturally curious, fostering creative problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an analytical discipline such as Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in planning or a related role.
  • Proficiency in ERP and MRP planning systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate Supply Chain insights to non-Supply Chain stakeholders in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Qlik) is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ownership mindset to understand the business and drive opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
