Job Description

The Cricut Creative Department is a multi-faceted team of dreamers and doers who bring the Cricut brand to life through exceptional creative content. This in-house team turns business strategy into visual reality with best-in-class, forward-thinking solutions that consider the full scope of consumer touchpoints. The team is comprised of four key areas: Design, Copy, Project Design, and Operations. Together, their work helps people lead creative lives.

The Creative Department’s Studio Team is a highly-collaborative group of in-house talent who produce still and motion assets to support the business’ multi-channel content needs. This team is accountable for capturing and delivering quality content based on Marketing strategy, Concept’s look and feel, and their industry expertise. The work generated out of their Sandy-based studio location is handed off to the Design at Scale team to execute.

  • Act as lead camera and/or swing for all in house video productions
  • Assist with set lighting and breakdown
  • Assist Art Directors with storyboarding and story construction
  • Maintain all cinema equipment and lighting gear
  • Work with Studio Art Director to create assembly, fine, and finished edits and prepare them for delivery.
  • Review and revise work with the Studio Art Director
  • Report to the Studio Art Director

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years videography experience
  • 3+ years offline or online editing experience in Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications
  • Experience with lighting equipment, and lighting standards and techniques for live-action acquisition
  • Experience operating, managing, and maintaining video equipment, camera bodies, lenses, microphones, supports, follow focus, etc.
  • Experience shooting narrative ad spots preferred, documentary experience a plus
  • Experience in managing daily production-related activities including deliverables, quality control, vendor interactions, media management, and archiving
  • Experience with motion graphics a strong plus
  • Experience with still photography a strong plus
  • Ability to provide innovative creative ideas while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to demonstrate integrity, maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges
  • Portfolio of work required
