Job Description

Do you see something on Pinterest and think, “I could totally make that!” Join our design team and make that a reality. As part of the Project Design team you will create amazing DIY craft projects made with the Cricut cutting machines and tools. The designs are featured in our various online, editorial, retail channel, and community marketing efforts, as well as packaging and Cricut branding. The DIY projects are posted on our design software where they can be re-created by any Cricut owner. Since you and your team have done most of the heavy design lifting, consumers are transformed from DIY newbies to DIY stars.

Responsibilities:

  • Push our projects to the next level. Create original, trend setting DIY projects (as an individual & with the team).
  • Ideate & execute creative projects such as cards, gifting, fashion and home décor for packaging, social media, retail, and marketing materials.
  • Conceptualizing and presenting ideas and trend research to partners and stakeholders.
  • Work with the art direction team to lead the project portion of marketing campaigns.
  • Manage workflow and deadlines on multiple projects at once.
  • Research and present trend forecasting 6-12 months ahead of the season.
  • Ability to incorporate new and upcoming trends into your designs.

 

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience in DIY Crafting Fashion, Home Décor, Party, and Paper Crafts. Portfolio must exhibit style and abilities.
    • Years of experience: 1-3 years
    • Extensive and diverse knowledge in different craft mediums.
    • Ability to design in a variety of styles depending on client and purpose.
    • Graphic design experience
    • Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator
    • Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
    • Basic design knowledge: Color, Focus, Balance, Perspective, Shape and Emphasis
    • Attention to detail
    • Perfection in execution
    • Comfortable with designing under fast deadlines.

    Bonus: Knowledge of Design Space and Cricut products, Basic sewing skills
