Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to help define and shape the future of Cricut’s brand through our retail channels and physical brand expressions. As the Senior Graphic designer for retail, you will work with our team of designers and agency partners to strategize, concept, and create retail campaigns and creative strategies for new product launches, brand campaigns, and other initiatives. Your work will encompass brand awareness, incredible design, and performance marketing efforts to delight our consumers, make our brand irresistible to them, and truly help them lead creative lives through our products.
The ideal candidate is a practical visionary who can generate big ideas and execute flawlessly, meticulously, and on schedule. You have experience with working in-house and within creative agencies. You know that there is no such thing as innovation and creativity without process that enables your team to perform at their best.
Our Ideal Candidate
A high-level thinker, communicator, and collaborator
A fantastic graphic designer with exceptional artisanship and attention to detail (primarily print)
Understand the nuances of retail and how to optimize the user experience
Puts the consumer as the central focus while balancing business objectives
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong ability to plan and proactively anticipate project needs
Ability to work independently, problem solve and multi-task
Comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
Understands growth marketing, ROI, and objectives for marketing campaigns
Understands content strategy and how it pertains to the growth of a brand
Have thorough knowledge of the creative process, including practical implementation, to effectively gauge workloads and deadline expectations.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Partner and collaborate with internal creative, product, and marketing teams to define key objectives and develop innovative creative executions that meet them
Conceptualize, develop, and produce exceptional design for retail environments including signage, fixtures, and other physical expressions of the brand
Help innovate new opportunities and improvements to improve the consumer experience
Experience
5+ years of professional design experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
3–5 years of experience implementing integrated campaigns, brand guidelines and best practices in a retail environment
Proven experience in creating a consistent and comprehensive brand expression across multiple retail channels
Design
Ability to clearly articulate sound-judgement in decision-making; creative and design
Strong typographic and layout ability
Strong attention to detail
Deep knowledge of the latest design trends
Ability to execute multiple projects from concept through completion
Proficient in Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign
A practitioner of human centered design
Continue to optimize, streamline, and evolve the retail development design process
Team / Culture
Effective communication, collaboration, mentoring, and project management skills
Solution oriented team player
Embraces learning, creativity, and innovation
Empowers and develops individuals and partners
Treats all individuals in a respectful and consistent manner
Bonus
Knowledge of DIY (Do it yourself) and craft industry
