Firmware QA Tester (Contract with benefits)

6 Month Contract Position

Cricut has an immediate opportunity for a Firmware QA Tester who will be responsible for testing and qualifying Firmware and Hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing Firmware's for the new and existing hardware products and communicating with development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in cross-functional team meetings and provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience.

The successful candidate should be able to develop and execute an organized test plan to release high quality products to market on schedule.

• Understand how Firmware works and have basic knowledge on embedded firmware testing
• Have working experience in C/C++, Python, and/or bytecode complied languages.
• Have good knowledge of USB, Bluetooth and other communication protocols.
• Have good knowledge of Microcontrollers, DC Motors (Steppers and Servos), Motor Drivers
• Be able to develop and improve test cases/scenarios and find and report defects under the supervision of quality engineers.
• Have ability to learn quickly and maintain a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Be a self-starter, capable of working independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive firmware test scenarios, test cases and test plans.
• Experience in firmware debugging and analyze results
• Experience in testing Software interacting with hardware
• Experience in Testing and Qualifying Consumer Electronics Products
• Experience in testing state machines
• Understanding of Device driver, INF files, HLK and HCK system
