Job Description

Are your social feeds filled with all kinds of illustration and graphics? Does creating art everyday feed your soul? Looking to find a place that values art & illustration as highly as you do?  

As part of the Creative Content group’s Art and Illustration team, you will be creating the images that inspire our customers to make meaningful projects every day. The role of digital illustrator is an integral part of the success of Cricut’s brand as a leader in creative crafting by building a world class digital content library that lives in our Design Space platform. As a well-rounded vector artist, you are able to adapt to a variety of styles, comfortable working with fonts and patterns, and able to collaborate with the other two teams of the Creative Content group- Project Design and Production Artists- as well as other Cricut teams. Your self-motivation, creative exploration and problem solving are essential qualities that will keep the Cricut brand moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

•   To create new, compelling, trend-driven vector images.

•   To modify existing vector images.

•   To work with a wide range of licensed artwork.

•   To create textures and patterns to support materials. (Consumables.)

•   To work directly with the remaining two Creative Content teams- Project Design and Production Artists- on a daily basis.

•   Uphold and exemplify illustration brand standards.

•   To collaborate with and support the Digital Content and Consumables teams.

•   Be aware of current illustration trends.

•   Be an expert in the operation of Cricut machines, as well as in the use of Cricut materials.

Qualifications

•   Strong drawing and design skills.

•   Ability to adapt to a variety of illustration styles.

•   Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop.

•   Self-motivated and pro-active work ethic.

•   Forward thinking and innovative; comfortable with taking creative chances.

•   Proven attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality, clean work.

•   A team player with excellent communication and collaborations skills.

•   Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.

•   Ability to consistently deliver in a deadline-driven environment.

•   Brings a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all endeavors

Requirements

•   Strong illustration portfolio showcasing strength of drawing, design and experimentation in various styles.

•   Excellent technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite
