Job Description

Cricut’s PR team is looking for a PR coordinator who will be a strong addition to our marketing team. As PR coordinator for Cricut, you will support one manager and work directly with our agency team as well our cross-functional marketing channels. The right person for this role should have:

  • A strong background in journalism or communications
  • Be able to produce reports using a suite of tools
  • A deep understanding of social media platforms, specifically Twitter
  • Experience with press relations and events
  • Strong relationship building skills

As Cricut’s PR coordinator, you must have a “go-getter” attitude and be willing to dive in to a variety of topics and execute with maximum impact. You must have a passion for our industry and an appetite to learn and be creative. You will also have the opportunity to travel for this role. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support our agency team in tracking and reporting coverage through reports
  • Write first drafts of communication documents: press releases/news-focused blog posts
  • Partner with our events team on planning and execution of press events
  • Coordinate with PR/influencer partners to handle logistics including contracts, flights, hotels and cars
  • Research industry trends and media opportunities and present to marketing team
  • Collaborate with Cricut’s influencer team on discovery and new potential partnerships
  • Execute Twitter strategy/content for Cricut social
  • Collaborate closely with other departments including influencer, creative, social, direct-to-consumer, channel marketing and sales
  • Assist with budget tracking and planning alongside your manager
  • Manage scheduling for partner meetings and programs
  • Maintain product requests program for the PR team

Qualifications

  • College degree – major in communications, journalism, public relations or business
  • Excellent writing skills (please provide examples)
  • 2-5 years of experience in an agency or brand working with press  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and other basic computer applications
  • Experience with social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Proficient in WordPress or other online blog platforms
  • Willingness to travel 1-2x per quarter
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of positivity in a work environment
  • Strong relationship-building skills

BONUS

  • Adobe Photoshop knowledge
  • Examples of media stories you’ve driven in the past year
  • Understanding of analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics)
