Supported by the assistant accounting manager and reporting to the Controller, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Assist the controller in the company’s current financial activities and ensure continuity of operational transactions;
• Coordination of the transactional team (8 people);
• Ad-hoc assistance to business units, corporate teams and financial analysts;
• Coordination of the month-end processes including review of balance sheet accounts and quarterly reporting to the shareholder;
• Responsible for:
  • Support for contracts review et revenue recognition
  • Calculations and accounting of capital projects
  • Income tax provision and preparation of tax file for tax return
• Review of sales tax reporting;
• Participation to special projects for process improvements;
• Participation in miscellaneous governmental audit;
• Other related tasks.

• Be a member of the Ordre des CPA;
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position;
• Excellent knowledge of Excel;
• Proficiency of an accounting software - knowledge Change Point and Great Plains an asset;
• Having participated in the implementation of an ERP will be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of the payroll basics;
• Good oral and communication skills, in French and English;
• Resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure;
• Steeped oriented attitude towards the generation of added value
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail;
• Motivated by the sense of urgency and excellence;
• Good adaptability and synthesis
• Re-engineering of accounting processes;
• Team Spirit
