Job Description
The Sr. Specialist, New Product Launch is an individual contributor responsible for owning and running the operational launch playbook for every new program upgrade and launch, across every product area. The role is responsible for shepherding and delivering the marketing elements of each launch alongside product-area owners (Category Marketers and Product Managers), according to the positioning, messaging, and audience provided them.
- Owns the launch playbook: runs the core operational steps for every new and upgraded program launch, in every product area, refining and speeding up the process with each cycle.
- Serves as a force multiplier for product-area owners, Category Marketers and Product Managers, driving the process and execution elements of each launch alongside them.
- Leads playbook kickoff for each approved launch, following business case and board approval, and manages end-to-end process execution — pages, channels, and operational logistics — in concert with the product-area owner.
- Coordinates cross-functional stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to keep launch timelines, deliverables, and readiness milestones on track.
- Tracks progress across a growing volume of concurrent launches (~30 in year one, scaling to ~50 annually), identifying bottlenecks and adjusting sequencing and resourcing to keep every launch on schedule.
- Documents and refines the operational playbook after each launch so that every subsequent launch is faster and less painful than the last.
- Performs and completes other assigned duties, complying with all policies and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, project management, or related field required.
- PMP or similar project/program management certification ideal.
- Three-five (3-5) years of experience in product launch execution, marketing operations or project/process management required.
- Process-obsessed and calm under volume; you are energized by running the same play better every time, with the above-average detail orientation needed to manage a high volume of concurrent launches without dropping anything.
- Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to align product-area owners, creative teams, and external vendors around a shared timeline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, creative project management software, and digital asset management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing operations and product launch processes, ideally in higher education or related service offering.
