Client Accounts Manager
Job Description
Our Liverpool based client requires a Client Accounts Manager. You will be based in Liverpool. The role may require travel to branch offices based in the UK.

Job Role
You will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring it is run effectively. Liaising with internal, external departments, Senior Managers and external organisations. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of book keeping entries and accountancy, along with an understanding of the other areas within Settlements departments.
This role could also require travel to branch offices, based in the UK. Advanced notice would be given.
This a full time, permanent role.

Skills and Qualifications required
- You must hold the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or be prepared to study and must be completed and passed within two years
- Ideally 2 years+ experience in a similar Managerial role
- People management experience essential
- Process of account management and accountancy along with double book keeping is essential.
- Good working knowledge of Fiscal.
- Interpersonal skills essential
- Good working knowledge of all teams within Settlements
- Strong report writing, verbal/written and communication skills.
- Ability to work to short deadlines as required.
- Excellent working knowledge Microsoft Word/Excel required
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor Client cash coming in electronically, along with receipt of funds received by cheque and daily banking.
- Administration of Agents and IFA, Arranging payments and statements and maintenance of static data.
- All aspect of ISA subscriptions, APS and flexible ISA withdrawals.
- Deceased Account and leaver administration.
- Standing order static data maintenance.
- Cash management responsibilities
- Payments and journals sent via Cash Management System
- Forward dated payments and maintenance.
- Ensure all regulatory obligations are met.
- Manage and control the input of correct data
- Manages and maintains correct data to ensure all processes are up to date and work correctly
- Ensure all relevant queries received to the department e-mail address are actioned
- Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, Investment managers and other market participants in a professional and helpful manner
- Keep up to date with regulatory requirements ensuring team are compliant as required with new regulation.
- Be point of contact and ensure all testing required within the team is undertaken for projects,
- Provide management information and communicate progress or problems to your senior manager.
- Ownership of the preparation and distribution of monthly reports.
- Keep Department procedures up to date
- Constant review of processes and looking for automation where possible
- Conduct team meetings.
- Attend and participate in wider settlement manager meetings
- Responsibility for individual performance reviews and annual Performance Development Reviews within the team
- Exercise knowledge, judgement and initiative in the performance of all tasks and situations that may arise, including personnel issues.
- Audit reviews with internal and external auditors
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as passed by senior manager or Head of Settlements
