Job Description

Our Operations West department is looking for a Seasonal full-time Labourer position is to assist with rock picking and ditch cleaning throughout the County. This position may be required to perform other tasks such as running a packer, tractor or rock truck, as well as put up signage. 

Typical Duties Include:

  • Safely operate all other equipment such as bobcat, packer and backhoe. Training will be provided as required to ensure competency and compliance with County Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment 
  • Assist in routine maintenance and repair of all equipment used. 
  • Assist with litter clean up, brush, painting, and general maintenance.  
  • Actively participate in weekly safety meetings 
  • To report all safety incidents to the Supervisor immediately Maintain records (logs, checklists etc.) and documenting data as directed by Supervisor. 
  • Engage with members of the public and third parties in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract 
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment an asset (bobcat, packer and backhoe) 
  • Ability to use hand power tools  
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and computers  
  • Experience pulling a 5th wheel trailer

Additional information

This position works Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with some overtime and weekends as required. This seasonal position works from approximately May to the end of August out of our Beaverlodge Shop.  

Hourly Pay: $25.53 to $30.03.

This position is open until April 15th, 2026 at 11.59 pm MST or until suitable candidate is found.
