Job Description
Indmar Marine Engines is looking for a dependable, quality-focused team player to join our Fabrication Department. The General Machine Operator/TIG Welder is expected to safely operate various machines throughout the shop including the sizer, tube bender and band saw as well as assembling the components of the riser to be welded by the robotic welder. This position will also be asked to TIG weld stainless steel components ensuring they adhere to all safety protocols to produce leak-free welds with the proper aesthetics. This full-time position offers a starting rate of $19.00 - 21.00/hour depending upon experience with a consistent daytime schedule. Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, paid time off and a retirement savings plan with a company match. Punctuality and good attendance are crucial to success in this position. Work hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Eligible for a $40.00 weekly attendance bonus. Candidate must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers' license. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble riser components to be welded on the robotic welding machine.
- Operate the sizing machine, tube bender and band saw to produce quality parts in the expected timeframe.
- Operate the rotary welding machine when needed ensuring welds are of proper length and quality.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment or machines, making adjustments as needed.
- TIG weld stainless steel components to produce leak-free, aesthetically pleasing product.
- Operate all equipment safely, making sure to wear all required PPE.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Leak test all inner and outer risers, manifolds, etc.
- Perform inspections on finished goods and complete any necessary repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to weld thin-walled stainless steels (i.e. 1.0mm - 1.8mm) for "gas-tight" applications.
- Ability to use welding equipment (TIG).
- Must be able to follow work instructions and track quality using in-process inspection sheets.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Constant noise from machinery. Possible fumes from welding process.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Safety glasses; welding helmet; welding jacket; gloves

Salary:
- $19.00 - 21.00 per hour depending upon experience
Experience level:
- 1 year Machine Operator or assembly experience
- 1 year TIG welding experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Welding certification is preferred.
License:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
Schedule:
- This is a full-time position, the work schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
