Job Description

The Senior Accountant works with the corporate Finance team to ensure accurate accounting, proper internal controls and timely financial reporting and analysis for the company.

This is a full time onsite role located at our facility in East Orlando.

Qualifications

Key Responsbilities

  • Assist with month end closing, monthly financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Responsible for monthly closing entries and reconciliations.
  • Identify and research variances within monthly financial statements.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare daily report.
  • Review and post monthly credit card activity.
  • Maintain fixed asset files.
  • Assist with coordination of annual audit.
  • Back up for A/R and A/P as needed.
  • Partner with team members to drive overall business improvements.
  • Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of adequate internal accounting controls.
  • Assist with forecasting, analysis, and miscellaneous projects.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
  • Advanced technical ability in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration  or Finance is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of Accounting experience is required.
  • Expert knowledge of all accounting functions, processes and procedures, including GAAP requirements.
  • Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system is preferred.
  • Advanced technical ability in Microsoft Office Suite.
