Job Description

We are seeking an aspiring engineer to fill an Engineering Intern position. Our ideal applicant is a current student of an industrial engineering or mechanical engineering program. While you do not need to have prior job experience, you must have a high GPA and training in common engineering computer programs, such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MATLAB. You will learn the responsibilities of a professional engineer under the supervision of our more senior employees.

Engineering Intern Duties and Responsibilities

· Learn the responsibilities of an engineer

· Work with CAD Engineers on Production All Models

· Fulfill administrative duties around the office

· Provide support for the engineering staff

· Willingness to learn new skills

· Flexible schedule

 

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with all members of the organization
  • Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work
  • Must have strong basic engineering skills
  • Must be willing to work with basic hand tools
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

Knowledge, Education, and or Experience required:

 

  • Communicate professionally in person, electronically, and via the phone
  • Expert with Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MATLAB
  • Must have take Solid Modeling course
  • Currently pursuing a college degree in Engineering
  • High GPA 3.0 or Better
  • Eager to learn and grow during the internship
  • Dress in professional attire
  • Able to arrive as scheduled during the internship

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
