Job Description

Job Summary 

Maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming products. Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the logistics field. Uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Identifies, and resolves problems with warehouse equipment. Adheres, implements, and ensures that all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements are followed in the warehouse area and throughout facility - Punctuality and reliable attendance are a must for this position.

  • Report any workplace conditions that appear dangerous or potentially hazardous.
  • Follow the proper procedures for the safe use of tools and equipment associated with the employees’ position and properly maintain equipment.
  • Immediately report any workplace injury or illness to your manager and Human Resources.
  • Attend all required Safety related training and or communication sessions.

Core Position Job Functions

  • Adheres and follows all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements in the warehouse area and throughout facility.
  • Comparing and posting purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists 
  • Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.
  • Receiving and signing for deliveries
  • Unloading deliveries from truck
  • Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
  • Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
  • Delivering incoming goods to inspection department in a timely manner
  • Updating inventory with received items.
  • Communicating with management personnel and or vendors regarding delays or problems
  • Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
  •  Assist in other areas of warehouse department as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Hardware Requirements: N/A

Software Requirements: 

  • Microsoft Office: Proficient within 90 days  
  • ADP Security Level:   User
  • MACOLA ERP: Proficient within 30 days 
  • SMARTSHEET: Proficient within 30 days   

 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • High School Diploma / GED or 3+ Years’ Work experience as acquired in a similar position.
  • Forklift Certified
  • Must be able to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Must have basic computer skills-email & document scanner.
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing Environment which might include mill cutting liquid and fumes.
  • Must be able to work daily overtime and Saturdays.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume fast paced environment.
