Job Description

The Sr Accountant works with the Controller to ensure accurate sales, accounting & financial information is communicated across each of the companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Create analysis of historical financial information tracking monthly, quarterly, and YOY growth
  • Generate & maintain supporting schedules for the balance sheet and select income statement accounts
  • Balance intercompany accounts and perform monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare year-end reports and support an annual financial statement audit
  • Participate in yearly budgeting for operating businesses
  • Collaboration with various team members in the annual pricing exercise
  • Preparation of the daily report submitted to manager and President
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections and balances
  • Issue invoices to customers
  • Record cash receipts entry in accounting software and make bank deposits
  • Monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts
  • Post daily inventory, work in process, and cost of sales transactions as finished goods are shipped
  • Reconcile and keep inventory up-to-date and accurate
  • Support and work with purchasing/procurement to keep accurate part tracking for raw materials
  • Record general journal entries
  • Preparation of quarterly and monthly sales and use tax filings
  • Work with finance and sales on projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Education, and or Experience required:

  • BA/BS in accounting or finance
  • Must know Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of accounting functions and standard processes and procedures
  • Relative accounting and finance experience preferred
  • Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR)
