Job Description

The Engineering Intern is directly responsible for provisioning telematics devices and providing technical support to customers when issues arise.  Due to the nature of this position all work must be performed onsite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision telematics devices for production and development use
    • Maintain high level quality standards
    • Troubleshoot device connectivity
    • Responsible for maintaining appropriate device inventory levels
    • Ensure database has correct device information
  • Answer customer support emails in a timely manner
  • Assist in troubleshooting device issues with both internal and external customers
  • Write technical documentation related to troubleshooting and other key processes
  • Communicate effectively with peers and key non-technical stakeholders

 

Qualifications

 

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • A continuous learner with a passion for innovation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, take initiative, and adapt to changing requirements

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Proficient with Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with Golang, Node.js, and Bash, Bourne or AWK scripting languages
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DEVOPS
  • Experience with CAN Protocols, J1939, and NMEA 2000 standards
  • Passion for boating and watersports
