Job Description

The EV Prototype Technician is responsible for supporting the prototyping and manufacturing processes to build electrically powered recreational watercraft for Ingenity Electric.

Job Duties:

  • Use engineering documentation and procedures to install electrical propulsion systems and build out products.  
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
  • Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off.
  • Participate in and support diagnostics of a wide variety of electrical and mechanical issues to determine the root cause.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve products and processes.
  • Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be mechanically inclined and have experience using a variety of hand tools
  • Well-versed in electrical systems
  • Technical/ vocational degree or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
  • Strong collaborative attitude, and team-player
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Demonstrated strong creative thinking and problem-solving toolbox
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to work in a hot environment with a close team
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs when needed
  • Able to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Must have exceptional attendance
  • Analytical view of work/jobs assigned
  • Computer experience with spreadsheets
  • Must be able to work in a confidential environment
  • Must be able to bend, squat, and climb
  • Open to learning new processes and following instructions exactly as requested
  • Attention to detail
  • Prefer Boat Manufacturing experience
