Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of our high-performance watersports towboats. This role is responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of our boats. We expect our Production Manager to have in-depth knowledge of production procedures. Possessing the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that will meet the requirements of our business needs.

Essential Duties | responsibilities

·          Oversee boat production process from start to finish.

·          Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.

·          Maintain and manage production schedule.

·          Ensure output meets quality standards throughout all phases of production.

·          Participate in strategic planning and decision-making.

·          Share company's mission, vision and values through operations and drive employee engagement.

·          Ensures labor cost, equipment efficiency and material are optimized.

·          Champion, lead and execute cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

·          Ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Determine and manage staffing requirements.

·          Works in conjunction with Leader Team to deliver on the corporate strategy.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications | Education requirements

·         High School Diploma or Equivalent; Certificate and/or College Degree preferred; Two to three years’ work related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         10+ years of manufacturing management experience (boat manufacturing experience preferred)

·         Demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team to meet or exceed expectations.

·         Must demonstrate exemplary performance in attitude, attendance and ability.

·         Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.

·         Outstanding communication ability. Excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail.

·         Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred

 

Physical requirements

·         Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.

·         Must be able to bend at waist, knees and stand for extended periods of time.

·         Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats.

·         Must be able to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
