Job Description

The HR Generalist – Talent Acquisition focuses on aligning business objectives to human resources operations with a concentration on talent acquisition. The objective of this position is managing and participating in the selection process for internal and external candidates. This position works closely with Operations to understand their needs as it relates to headcount and collaborating on strategy. The best candidate has a generalist background and can provide support to other HR functions as needed.

This role will at our office located in East Orlando. Typical office hours are 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Talent Acquisition process and establish recruiting requirements by meeting with managers to discuss departmental needs and studying organization strategic plans and objectives
  • Establish priorities and creative avenues to attract and recruit the best talent
  • Provide ideas for maintaining a healthy pipeline of talent
  • Manage applicant tracking system
  • Research and serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
  • Review employment applications and prescreen applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills to match candidates with job requirements
  • Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate, and coordinating interviews with managers
  • Work with external resources such as staffing agencies and community partners as necessary
  • Assist as needed with pre-employment processing such as applicant testing, background checks, etc.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Provide back up support to other HR team members in areas such as Employee Relations, Engagement, Payroll, Benefits, Training, etc.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • 1-2 years of experience focused on Recruiting and Talent Acquisition, specifically in tough to fill positions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred:

  • PHR or SHRM certification
  • Experience recruiting for a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience using HRIS/Payroll system
