Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for material forecasting, determining stock levels, purchase order placement and maintenance. In addition, manages order tracking, supplier follow-up and overall raw material inventory flow to support efficient day-to-day supply chain operations.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and expediting purchase orders
  • Entering purchase orders into the ERP system
  • Matching packing slips with corresponding purchase order
  • Inventory control duties: cycle counting, purchase order receipt accuracy, tracking returned material inventory
  • Maintaining files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries. Researching and tracking records of materials through purchase requisitions, purchase orders, purchase order acknowledgements
  • Working with accounting on price checks and proofs of delivery
  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with vendors and internal departments

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, operations management or similar
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience
  • ERP experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

Preferred:

  • APICS certification
