Job Description

We have a great opportunity in our Quality Department for the outgoing Engineer with a passion for quality data analysis and supply chain. This is a high profile position working with multiple departments, vendors and leadership. The right candidate will manage/log current supplier product issues, perform Root Cause Analysis and issue SCAR’s (Supplier Corrective Action Requests). You will report to the Quality Manager and work from 7:30am - 4:40pm, Monday - Friday. If you feel this is the perfect opportunity for you, please apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Continuous improvement on processes involving supplier product.
  • Establish Acceptance Criteria for supplier product with Nautique’s engineering team.
  • Create tools to aid in quality inspections of supplier product and perform inspections of problematic products at Nautique and supplier facilities.
  • Maintain calibration/certification on inspection equipment.
  • Gather data on warranty and production issues to provide feedback about supplier related products to engineering and suppliers. 
  • Manage the Quality Inspection Software that the Quality Inspectors use daily and update the system for new check items and models as needed.
  • Host meetings with suppliers on a weekly basis to discuss performance
  • Send weekly reports
  • Manage the Defective Material Return system, (DMR)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or similar degree
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • AutoCAD or similar drafting software experience 
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean
  • Strong computer skills
  • Exceptional communicator
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and adjust to fluctuations in work process
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Preferred experience with Power BI and Quality Management Software
  • Preferred experience with manufacturing processes
