Job Description

This position is responsible for indirect purchases related to maintenance, equipment, building and production. We are looking for a motivated, experienced and dedicated Purchasing MRO.

We offer an 8am - 5pm shift, and $40-45K/year salary, DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the procurement of indirect materials in response to MRO requirements
  • Works with suppliers and various departments on MRO cost-reduction strategies
  • Negotiate price quotes from suppliers against budget requirements
  • Enter purchase orders in ERP system, sends to suppliers and enters receipts
  • Develops, tracks and reports metrics relating to MRO spend to Management
  • Supports the purchasing of direct materials when needed
  • Works with accounting on price checks and proof of delivery

Qualifications

 

  • 2 years purchasing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with intermediate Excel experience
  • Experienced with using formulas, pivot tables and other tools to analyze data
  • 2+ years’ experience with an ERP suite (Epicor preferred)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Able to climb in and out of a boat
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Extremely detail oriented
