Job Description

Are you looking to join the Aktion Water Parks family and help guests to experience wake boarding, water skiing, inflatable Aqua Park and ride in a world class Nautique boat?  We have a fun, Summer Seasonal position for you!  We encourage college students to join our team as we can work around your class schedule. The right candidate will be responsible for operating the cableway and instructing the guests on the proper way of riding while maintaining safety during their ride. We offer 20-30 hour per week, $8.50/hour, work hours will be between 9:30am - 8:30pm. Must be available at least one day during the weekend as well as Monday - Friday.

 Duties and responsibilities while working as operator/instructor.

 Apply first aid to injured party when needed.

  • Instructing the guests on the proper usage of equipment and lifejackets.
  • Teaching the guests the cable rules (i.e. safety rules, proper exiting, buoys, etc.)
  • Assisting the guests with any problems.
  • Monitoring guests conduct and enforcing riding rules.
  • Retrieving ropes, boards etc. when needed.
  • Overseeing the safety of fallen skiers and assisting the guests out of the lake if needed and if qualified.
  • Keeping the machine in a working order and fulfill small repairs during operation.
  • Following all safety rules and serves as a leading example to others.
  • Attending seminars and safety meetings on a regular basis.
  • Dispatch guests safely and quickly.
  • Diagnose problems and inform manager on duty if an unusual problem occurs.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Able to clean facilities
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must maintain equipment and perform basic maintenance
  • Ground keeping duties that involve the operation of mowers, saws and other tools.
  • Able to perform maintenance and corrosive prevention that includes the handling of paint and other chemicals and adhesives. 
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • CPR and First Aid certified preferred
  • AED Certified preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
