Job Description

Job Description: The Business Intelligence Intern is directly responsible for working within the Data Services team to develop new reports as well as support routine maintenance for existing reports. Follow a schedule of report development and releases, as well as use revision control tools. Implement reporting from new or existing datasets and ensure data integrity in day-to-day operations. Work with internal and external customers to support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. Local candidates only.

¨       Data Acquisition

·         Provide support for new dataset creation and architecture, while providing a clear path of data inputs and           outputs

·         Ensure compatibility and accessibility of datasets

·         Connect to various systems using backend databases

¨       Business Intelligence

·         Mine incoming data using business intelligence tools

·         Query and execute formulas to prepare data in a suitable format for visualization

·         Generate automated multi-page reports, which refresh based on a set schedule

·         Provide day-to-day support for customer’s business intelligence needs

Qualifications

¨       Experience, Competencies, and Education

·         Studying towards Business, Economics, Math, Computer Science or related field

·         Understanding of the fundamentals of day-to-day business operations and workflow

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to query data as necessary

·         Experience with Business Intelligence tools

·         Experience with database management and architecture

·         Ability to provide customer support in a timely manner and work with customers to frame a project          implementation

·         Product design/requirement specification

·         An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image

·         Some practical experience with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment and strong operational focus

·         A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player

·         An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills

¨       Language Skills

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents

·         Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

·         Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations

¨       Additional Preferred Experience/Skills

·         Marine Industry - Engineering/Manufacturing

·         Watersports Experience

·         Boating Experience

·         Experience with cloud development and data infrastructure
