Job Description
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Coordinator reports directly to the Financial Manager. This position is responsible for bi-weekly processing of payroll and associated filing with the State of South Carolina. The position holds responsibility for reporting to corporate and government agencies in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with government regulations. This role also includes general accounting duties year-end processing and reporting. The successful candidate must maintain confidentiality and integrity of accounting and payroll data while maintaining up-to-date filing systems that comply with good accounting practices.

CORE POSITION JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Collect, verify and input all employee payroll data for bi-weekly processing
2. Preview payroll data for accuracy and meet transmission deadlines
3. Audit timesheets for errors, advise appropriate manager when documentation is missing, policies
are not followed, corrections are required
4. Research and resolve payroll related issues
5. Manage all payroll, garnishment and benefits deductions for correct start and stop times
6. Maintain appropriate payroll documentation backup
7. Maintain all Payroll Bring up Activities
8. Advise management regarding payroll abnormalities
9. Processes manual check requests and Special Payrolls as required
10. Manage distribution of payroll checks to meet payroll and company policies
11. Audit ADP disbursement activities
12. Reconcile all payroll related accounts
13. Generate payroll related reports on demand
14. Perform wage verifications as requested
15. Maintain paid time off database and audits
16. Remain current on accounting and payroll laws, regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
in area of control
17. Advises manager regarding required ADP training to stay updated on platform upgrades
18. Support External accounting and payroll Audits
19. Serve as payroll resource for Pleasurecraft Marine Engine
20. Initiate all calendar and FY end activities
21. Work with Human Resource Manager to determine setup and changes to ADP schedules and
security levels
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
ADP WorkforceNow (WFN) and ADP Custom Reporting experience
Must maintain confidential information
Excellent attendance and reliability
Works successfully in team setting with good communication and collaboration skills
Must maintain a high level of accuracy in work output
Ability to research issues to a logical, accurate conclusion
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Strong work ethic with excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be able to schedule all time off around payroll processing
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of self-motivation
Positive attitude and ability to take direction
Continuous improvement philosophy with ability to learn quickly and support change
Ability to support the goals and mission of the company
Ability to pass a background check and credit check required by Pleasurecraft’s criteria for an
accounting position
Preferred:
Related experience in a manufacturing setting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a closely related field
Payroll certification
Two years of ADP payroll experience in a related setting
