Job Description

Applies Gelcoat to boat hull and boat deck molds according to production orders.

We offer $14-$19/hour, DOE

Must be able to work on any shift needed

Job Responsibilities

·         Spray gelcoat consistently and evenly to desired thickness.

·         Read and interpret order specification to spray according to patterns and check for proper millage

·         Wrap and prep molds to be Gelcoated

·         Stock Gelcoat and change and maintain pumps and equipment, such as hoses and guns

·         Follow instructions to mix catalyst and Gelcoat

·         Clean and maintain all work tools as scheduled

·         Follow direction from supervisor

·         Identify the different boat hulls that need to be Gelcoated

·         Work in a safe manner and following all safety rules.

·         Will apply hull and deck identifying numbers in proper place on the boat mold.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment required for the job such as respirator, apron, etc.
  • Can work in a team environment under time constraints with a positive attitude
  • Eye for detail and maintain the highest standards of quality
  • Must be able to use and maintain a variety of hand tools
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain quality control and work to quality standards
  • Must pass respirator fit test
  • Must be flexible - willing to work a varied schedule
  • Reliable transportation and exceptional attendance are required
  • Able to work with arms over head, bend at waist and knees, stoop, etc. and stand throughout shift
  • Experienced in using various hand tools
