Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all inventory transactions in SAP: backflushes, goods receipts, product goods issues, inventory transfers, capital-to-inventory conversions, expense-to-inventory conversions, scrap and write-offs, etc.

2. Conduct capital asset transactions in SAP.

3. Conduct quarterly inventory cycle counts and perform necessary follow-up reconciliations.

4. Track inventory levels across all categories (WIP, FGI, spare parts, etc.), recommending appropriate actions for aged items (e.g., fire sale, write-off, etc.).

5. Lead inventory management meetings across multiple functions.

6. Assist with testing of new system functionality related to inventory transaction in SAP as rolled out by IT.

7. Address special requests

8. Manage temporary inventory billing account and request appropriate financial transactions at month-end to clear out the account.

9. Perform ad hoc inventory investigations or reconciliations as needed.

10. Conduct PO price corrections in SAP as required.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

1. 3-5 years of experience in inventory management: maintaining proper inventory records, making inventory transactions in the ERP system, conducting inventory counts and reconciliations, etc.

2. General understanding of accounting concepts as it relates to the management of inventory.

3. Knowledge of using SAP for inventory management, or experience in a similar ERP/inventory management system

4. Strong spreadsheet skills for analysis and reporting.

5. Ability to work independently, but also to collaborate effectively with a team

6. Skilled at communicating complex information in clear manner

7. Sound attention to detail

8. Two or four-year college degree preferred in business or related field.
