JOB DETAILS 

Base Pay is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

1st shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Benefits start on Day 1

80 hours of vacation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to directing the daily activities for coordinating shipments, trucks, trailers, processing paperwork, inventory control and interfacing cross-functionally with multiple teams and sites. Ordering and maintaining stock of all operational supplies.  Must be flexible with ever-changing priorities to accommodate customer and local business demands.

Key Responsibilities

Train on paperwork for crates and vans.

Train on root cause analysis and investigating skills

Interface with sites regarding order shipments, receipts, and shipping discrepancies.

Confirm shipping logs as needed.

Responsible for accurate and timely data entry on outgoing shipments as needed.

Accurately complete bills of lading and all paperwork for outbound and inbound loads.

Ability to learn and utilize inventory systems and processes

Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy (Cycle Counting)

Ability to communicate directly with a customer service group when necessary.

Train new and existing members of your team on departmental tasks

Perform warehouse & office housekeeping.

Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Update daily, weekly, monthly, and annual dashboards as needed.

Print daily shipping memos and ship schedules as needed.

Order and stocking of office /inventory/manufacturing/safety supplies

Coordinate with inbound/outbound carrier drivers.

Coordinate trailer moves to and from the dock as needed.

Assist with physical warehouse layout and utilization.

Attend scheduled staff meetings with DC/Plant Manager when necessary.

Perform basic duties of Cycle Counter 3 at times, based upon ability and experience.   

Maintain an accurate timecard daily and calculate it on a weekly basis.

Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location.

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and JDE is helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and inventory control processes is preferred.
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use hand tools and electrical tools safely and effectively.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend numbers accurately.
  • Must be able to lift up to 86 lbs independently and 87-100 lbs with assistance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, dust, and temperature extremes.
  • Position requires frequent lifting, twisting, and bending.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, and ear plugs.
  • Must be willing to obtain certification to operate motorized equipment, including sit-down forklifts, JL1s, and split-tail equipment.
  • Must follow all safety policies, procedures, and Health and Safety Manual requirements.
  • Required to report unsafe working conditions immediately.
  • Must comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and regulations.
  • Consistent safe work performance is a key responsibility and a component of performance evaluations.
