Job Description
The Lead Production Associate 1 plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production line by working closely with supervision and team members. This position is responsible for overseeing the flow of materials to and from the line and ensuring that all necessary resources are available for uninterrupted production. Additionally, the Lead Production Associate 1 provides on-the-job training to production employees within the vinyl department, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.

RESPONSIBILITES
The following duties are considered essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
- Leads by example each day in key areas – safety, quality and productivity.
- Presents and supports communications to production employees and supervision regarding daily efforts and needs: regarding quality, EHS, housekeeping, product changes, etc.
- Supports the department in achieving established production, quality, safety, and operational performance goals.
- Coordinates daily work assignments and workflow in accordance with direction provided by production supervision. May assist with task assignments during the temporary absence of a Supervisor.
- Ensure overall quality and integrity of work produced on the line.
- Assists in training and onboarding new associates and documents completion of required training as assigned.
- Takes an active role in resolution of quality and process issues or other issues of concern.
- Participates in safety incident investigation as well as root cause and effect analysis with follow-up, as needed.
- Maintains updated tracking of department plan vs. actual to ensure associates are constantly aware of current productivity state of the department.
- Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance consistent with business needs.
- Monitors workflow and communicates attendance, conduct, performance, and operational concerns to production supervision for review and appropriate follow-up.
- Completes production, quality, safety, and operational documentation accurately and timely in accordance with company procedures.
- Promptly reports safety hazards, injuries, quality concerns, and policy violations to Production Supervision.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 18+ years old & High School degree or GED preferred. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous experience serving as a lead, trainer, or mentor preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

The US pay for this full-time position is $24.00 - $27 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.)
