Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship is hybrid with 2-3 days/week in Houston, TX for Summer 2025.
The Retail Direct Marketing Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for supporting brand development, demand generation, advertising, content, social media and retail marketing activities to grow awareness and demand for our Retail Direct branches. This role will apply learned marketing fundamentals to support the growth of our Retail Direct business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Conducts local market research, including demographic, traffic and population data to inform local marketing efforts
- Supports the creation of local awareness campaigns and help identify opportunities to embed the brand in the community; Support execution of community outreach activities
- Supports content creation and rotation for out-of-home and radio advertising
- Supports social media and online reputation management activities
- Supports fulfillment needs including printing literature and producing premiums
- Coordinates graphic design requests related to literature, premium and in-store signage updates and routes through approval channels
- Coordinates local trade shows and customer events, in collaboration with Regional Retail Marketing lead
- Coordinates memberships and participation in local organizations and chambers of commerce
- Copyrights, proofs and conducts quality assurance activities for branding, copy and digital marketing tactics
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, business, communication or related field
- Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and Word is required
- Experience on Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud is preferred
- Will be expected to travel occasionally to visit retail branches
