ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hybrid internship with 3-4 days/week in Houston, TX for Summer 2025.
Within MBCI Components at Cornerstone Building Brands, the Project Sales division is hiring for a Project Coordinator Internship for the MBCI Components division. This role is based out of Houston TX at our Houston Hardy Facility. This position will be reporting directly to the Project Sales Manager. The Project Coordinator Intern is the lead contact and communicator on a project for our products. The Project Coordinator will interact with our Estimating, Drafting, and Engineering departments.
This Project Sales Coordinator Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands will report directly to the Project Sales Manager. This role will be mentored by other Project Coordinators, and interact with Customers, Sales, Estimators, and Drafters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Review, interpret, and determine scope of work from architectural drawings and specifications
- Learning and maintaining a working knowledge of product line and associated applications
- Act as subject matter expert in building component products and specifications for building materials and applications
- Understanding of the Project Service Department’s policies, procedures, and process flow
- Support and work in conjunction with Sales, Estimating, and District Sales
- Actively manage opportunities and projects within CRM in an ongoing and/or as-needed basis
- Maintaining of departmental reports for quotes and status of various stages of a project
- Creation and submittal of unit price and lump sum quotes and contracts
- Work in conjunction with internal teams in fulling quote requests and order fulfilment
- Preparation of quote documents for presentation to customers
- Work on capstone project to improve process within Project Sales or implement technology solution
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Pursuing degree bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Business Administration, or Architecture or related field
- Ability to read Architectural/Construction drawings is preferred
- Experience in performing quotes from customer provided drawings is preferred
- Experience with OST and/or similar takeoff software is preferred
- Exceptional customer service with internal and external resources by showing active listening skills and excellent written communications is required
- CRM Experience is preferred
