JOB DETAILS
This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days/week in Vacaville, CA for Summer 2025.
The Process Engineering Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for learning and executing lean manufacturing principles, including Process flow, standard work, production parts picking/delivery/presentation, process mapping, time studies, and layouts. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will have impactful change on creating stability in manufacturing and advancing our production processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Possible projects and initiatives this intern will work on include:
- Partner with Safety, Quality and Operations to create the best process flow to maximize output
- Gain a mix of experience in Office environment and production floor
- Analyze production through time studies and documentation of existing processes
- Identify, select, and implement projects to improve process flow layout
- Oversee and manage tasks to improve workplace organization
- Establish and maintain standard work for various production lines

Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Pursing a degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering required
- Must have completed Sophomore year coursework
- Knowledge of AutoCad, AutoDesk Inventor, or SolidWorks is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel for data interpretation/manipulation is required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
